It's called The National Do Not Call Registry. The service is free and can be used for any residence and mobile phone number.
REMEMBER: If you share a phone with someone else you are registering everyone that uses that number. Once your number is registered it is permanent and will not expire.
There are two ways to get YOUR phone registered:

- Go online to The National Do Not Call Registry
When calling the above number, you must call from the phone number that you are wanting to register. For example: If you are wanting to register your home phone then you must call from home. When you call you will be asked to enter the number of the phone that you're wanting to register. Registration takes about 1 minute.
When registering online, you will have the opportunity to enter up to three phone numbers at a time. After that you must enter and confirm your e-mail address. Once you've checked for errors and everything's good then click "submit." You will then be sent an e-mail to the e-mail address that you entered. Open the email and follow the link to complete your registration.
Congratulations! Kiss those annoying calls GOODBYE! Please allow up to 31 days for the calls to completely stop. After that if you get calls you may file a complaint at the number or website above.
